“Education Sector Responses to the Use of Alcohol, Tobacco and Drugs” brochure provides the context and rationale for improved education sector responses to substance use among children and young people, with a focus on primary and secondary education sectors.
It introduces a variety of policies and strategies, including practical examples from different regions that scientific research proved to be effective. The publication also suggests ways of maintaining and building up effective approaches and programmes in regards to substance use. The brochure uses statistical information and infographics to support its evidences and illustrate examples.This booklet has been developed through an international consultation process led by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
