UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office and UNICEF in Tajikistan ño-organized a workshop on nationalization of SDG 4 indicators for Tajikistan on 5-6 April in Dushanbe.
Mr. Rahmatullo Mirboboev, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Ms. Lina Benete, UNESCO Almaty’s Programme Specialist for Education and Ms. Aferdita Spahiu, UNICEF Tajikistan Education Chief, opened the workshop.Tajikistan benefited from an initial dialogue on enhancing policy, monitoring and evaluation to achieve the SDG 4 and strengthening Education Management Information Systems (EMIS) development at the recent UNESCO/KERIS Central Asian Symposium on ICT in Education (CASIE), hosted in Dushanbe on 24-26 October 2018.
The national workshop discussed and reviewed education indicators in the framework of SDG 4 and the new National strategy 2030 of the Republic of Tajikistan. New strategy and the education sector plan will provide the direction for the education system of Tajikistan to achieve SDG 4. In order to monitor the achievement of SDG 4, the developed indicator list will be inserted in the education sector plan.
