Coordination Council of UNESCO Associated Schools (ASP) in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office for Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan within its programme organizeâ a national training workshop for the network of UNESCO Associated Schools (ASPnet) from Kazakhstan. The workshop was held in Almaty on 28 November 2014.
During the work of the sub-regional training workshop that was held in Almaty in October 2014 it was suggested to organize the similar workshop for ASP school deputy directors and school psychologists . Around 50 deputy directors and school psychologists took part in the workshop held in Almaty.The workshop discussions were around such topics as role of education in peacebuilding process and role of teachers in peacebuilding education.
Only the joint efforts of ASP school administration, coordinators and school psychologists could change culture of school – to instill tolerance, culture of peace, finding ways for conflict resolution, respect in the younger generation.
