Almaty, Kazakhstan will host athletes from some 30 countries at the World Festival of Traditional Wrestling 4-6 November. The International Association of Traditional Wrestling Sports and UNESCO are organizing the event. A roundtable on Traditional Sports and Games for Development and Peace will also take place during the festival.
Almaty, Kazakhstan will host athletes from some 30 countries at the World Festival of Traditional Wrestling 4-6 November. A roundtable on Traditional Sports and Games for Development and Peace will also take place during the festival.The festival will demonstrate various forms of traditional wrestling as practiced in countries around the world. Both the festival and roundtable will showcase how fundamental values such as respect, teamwork and dignity are an essential part of traditional sport and continue to have relevance in contemporary society.
