A successful "IRONMAN 70.3" participant, Ms Nadi Pak shared her story about how sports helped her survive a great loss, revealed her triathlon potential and brought her to the environment protection and responsible consumption.
Nadi has been an inspiration to many, considering her background and the dreams that she has fulfilled. Having started triathlon only several years ago, the young achiever has won the half "IRONMAN 70.3" marathon in Kazakhstan and this is not her limit.
She says that sport has taught her life skills that helped her to become the person she is today.
"My world in 2030: I would like people to become more conscious about caring for nature. Just six months ago, I started sorting the wastes. You may not believe me, but now I'm washing and putting the packaging of milk and sour cream in different boxes, so I can hand it over later! I would like people to be aware of and not to regard nature as given, but to understand that this is also their home and take care of it. And most importantly, these values must be conveyed to the young generation."
On this World Environment Day, celebrating the theme of biodiversity, let us recallthe words of David Attenborough, the broadcaster who has dedicated part of his life to speaking on behalf of our beautiful and diverse living world: “in our hands now lies not only our own future, but that of all other living creatures with whom we share the earth”.
